Two posts: Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Two posts are available in Prof Duo Li's laboratory in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Zhejiang University, China. Prof Duo Li's research group has integrated research themes on nutrition and food safety, with five main areas of activities.

*First area is bioactivity (anti-inflammation, anti-diabetes, anti-hypertension, anti-cancer, hypo-blood lipids etc) valuation on whole food, food ingredients, natural products, healthy food and functional food, which involving in vitro, animal model and human clinical trial.

*Secondly, he is interested in food safety evaluation, with an emphasis on food chronic safety, which involving animal model and human clinical trial.

*Thirdly, relationship between non-communicable diseases and habitual dietary intake, relationship between risk factors of chronic diseases and nutrients, food ingredients, natural products, whole food, healthy food and functional food, which involving cross-sectional, epidemiological, case-control, double-blind randomized interventional studies.

*Fourth area is nutritional evaluation and novel foods/nutrients resources, which covers nutrients analysis in any food and natural products.

*Final area is metabolism and mechanism evaluation, with an emphasis on how nutrients, food ingredients and natural products influence the expression of select genes.

We are seeking candidates with:

1. A PhD in Public Health or Nutrition.
2. A PhD in Food Science/Nutritional Biochemistry/Biology/Chemistry.
